EMMEDUE® is proud to announce that on July 1st 2010, after thorough testing and evaluation by ICC-ES (International Code Council Evaluation Services), the Emmedue Advanced Building System has been approved compliant with the latest International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC).
Many tests have been carried out either on single load-bearing panels and on floor panels of different thicknesses. The panels have been submitted to fire resistance test, compression and flexural test, shear test and floor diaphragm test.
IBC and IRC compliance is a landmark achievement for our building system and for our company. Architects, engineers and builders in the United States can now design and build with EMMEDUE® panels with full confidence, as their colleagues worldwide have already done for over 30 years.
As stated by the Evaluation Services report ES 2037, “EMMEDUE® wall, floor and roof panels are used as structural composite panels for load-bearing and nonload-bearing concrete walls, and reinforced concrete floor and roof panels in fire-resistance-rated and non-fire-resistance- rated construction. The EMMEDUE® panels are recognized for use in buildings of noncombustible construction [...]”. The full ES report is available for download in our website and at www.icc-es.org.
