Last spring a company of Zambia contacted EMMEDUE to realise a model house with our panels as quickly as possible, to submit it to the evaluation and approval of the local Government.
Due to the lack of skilled manpower on site, the African company asked us to dispatch there some of our technicians. Despite EMMEDUE has teams of workers all over the world, we choose our partner in Ecuador, Panecons, to whom we got in touch immediately to make a careful selection. In fact, the team to be dispatched in Zambia had to be composed by personnel not only technically qualified, but also having spirit of adventure and capability to adapt to completely different environmental, cultural and linguistic conditions. So last October Mesías, Martín, Tito, Genaro, Byron and Germán left for the first time their country and, after almost two days of journey with different stopovers, they reached the African land.
After a half day of rest the works began. The project consisted in realising two storeys houses of 243 sq.m.
Under the astonished eyes of the local people, after only a week of work, the team was able to position the panels of the first level and in 4 weeks the house was finished.
Then the young Ecuadoreans could come back home and, despite a night in Johannesburg’s airport for a hitch of the African airlines, they brought with them the satisfaction for the big venture they have completed and the dream to carry out other similar adventures.
