Energy efficiency within the industry with the EMMEDUE walls for “building constructions”
On the 30.04.2008 in San Lazzaro di Savena, in the nearby of Bologna, the new shed of the Tebo S.p.A. was inaugurated; the company operates in the sector of the electronics applications and the shed has been made by the Association EGG and Eicon, (Association for industrial energy of Unindustria Bologna).
Within this context, thanks to the EMMEDUE single panels, it has been possible to realize a curtain wall with excellent peculiarities of insulation and sturdiness, as well as lightness, handiness and rapidity both as for transport and realization on site which have always determined the success of our building system.
It is a structure of 2.500 sq. mt., over 400 of which are reserved to offices, which take advantage of the innovations and operate in the full respect of the environment.
Realized in less than one year, this is the first industrial building that has been designed in Italy in order to use all the technologies required for the current and tested renewable sources.
In fact, the building is equipped with a photovoltaic system for the production of electric energy; a solar system for the production of hot water; a geothermal system for cooling and heating of the shed; a lighting system with homogeneous intensity for each work station. The whole is enclosed by an absolutely innovative wrapping and very well insulated by our single panels and frames with triple chamber glass.
The integration of these technologies and building systems have permitted to obtain an industrial building equipped with insulation over 50% more than the values established by the regulations concerning new constructions.
This means that the building can be defined as “energetically autonomous”, since the energy which will be used to heat and cool it during the year will be less than 100.000 kwh implying, among other things, also an elimination of the CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
