Home 2 litres - C-O-2 Saving

Emmedue is partner of the project “Home 2 litres - C-O-2 Saving”, promoted from both AIPE (Italian Association of Expanded Polystyrene) and the PVC Information Centre, that has the aim to construct buildings able to employ yearly the counterpart of only two litres of fuel to heat, to air-condition and illuminate every square metre of habitable surface. The equivalent energy consumption corresponds to around 20 kwh/m 2, that means 10 times less the present average value of building in Italy (200 Kwh/m 2), considering that building represents one of the field of the economy which has the biggest impact in terms of energy consumption and greenhouse effect, either during the building or the use stage.
This is an ambitious goal but achievable through a careful design that includes the bio-climatic analysis of the building area, the utilization of  solar and photovoltaic panels, the use of efficient thermal and acoustic insulation systems which are made with innovative materials among which there are Emmedue panels.
