Situated in the town of Vigevano, very close o the railway station, this building, designed for a prevalently residential use, is made up of 23 apartments and about 300 square metres to be reserved for third parties, developed on five floors above ground as well as an underground floor for garage and cellars.

The purpose is the realization of a high quality building guaranteeing maximum comfort and the greatest savings, paying attention to some important rules such as:

_ safety in compliance with the regulations in force;

_ saving of energy;

_ good heat insulation and soundproofing of the building;

_ supply of natural ventilation systems;

_ correct orientation of the building as to the sun;

_ upper quality with reference to finishing, both internally and externally.

As for the designed building, technology and construction solutions aiming at reducing environmental impact and dispersions at a minimum will be used, protecting from changes in temperature and extreme sun radiation. In fact, the EMTWO building system, consisting of polystyrene panels, with double steel mesh, specifically conceived for each technological element – that is vertical curtain walls, floors, stairs and internal partitions - is used along with the traditional r.c. load bearing structure.

With reference to the process plant engineering, high efficiency heat production systems will be used; they will be central systems and the consumption management system will be individually designed; the building will be equipped with low temperature plants capable to guarantee saving of energy.
